Hello! Let’s all tread together the treacherous path of the final day of the work week joined by some great music!
Hey guys! The week is ending, work is winding down, and it’s time to relax. Today’s theme is called “Deconstruction” and it’s a theme from Destiny that plays sometimes while you’re in the game’s main social hub, the Tower.
If you recall, Destiny has a couple of areas where music changes every now and then. One of them is the orbit where various themes roll while you are waiting for your fireteam, or just admire the vista of the planets below you. This continues in The Taken King but I find the ones in vanilla Destiny to be the best, such as the excellent Excerpt from the Ecstasy:
Back to the theme of the day, Deconstruction seems to play at a low volume or is at least often drowned by the sounds of Guardians busy with their activities and ships coming and going from the Vanguard’s seat of command. But whenever it plays it’s soothing and fantastic – the bustle of a future where the only thing that remains is an alien entity floating over the last city, a vista from the edges of the tall tower where the last hope of humanity plans its next move; where all a Guardian can do is look longingly at what remains to protect, but doesn’t forget that it’s a very human thing to do.
