Never give up, never surrender

I was on the verge of giving up several times, and that’s no secret. But I always kept trying; sometimes because I did not want to let my group down a member, and other times because I really like raiding in Final Fantasy XIV despite how insane Alexander Savage floor 3 (A3S) is.

Now it’s time to learn Alexander Savage’s 4th floor, which is – according to some accounts – easier than the 3rd floor. We’ll see. We went in blind a couple of tries and we died but not without lasting a while. The top picture is a screen capture of one such attempt.

It has taken us months, but we finally did it. Here we are. Success.

  1. I haven’t tried any of the Savage floors. Just haven’t felt the desire or need. One of these days I’ll give Thordan Ex a try. I almost decided to join a learning group in the PF for it this weekend, but eventually just said “nah” to myself and kept doing what I was doing…..

    Grats on beating A3S!

    1. Do not go into Savage without true conviction! That place will dry every ounce of hope you have!

Jokes aside, it’s absurdly difficult. Thordan Ex, on the other hand, is a fantastic fight. It’s not easy, but it’s very rewarding and has a lot of phases to manage – one of the best fights in recent memory.
