It’s-a-me, Saga! Let’s all tread together the treacherous path of the final day of the work week joined by some great music!
Friday is here and it’s time for some cheery music! How about the BGM for Super Mario 64‘s first world, Bob-omb Battlefield – also known as Super Mario 64’s Main Theme? Maybe not as universally known as the music of the first level for the original NES Mario game, this track is the first upbeat track in the first 3D Mario game.
Mario 64 begins with soft themes (from the title screen with Mario’s playful face to the halls of Peach’s castle) but things kick into gear in the first level, where you get to begin to experience just how fun a fully 3D Mario is – oh what fun it was! For many, Super Mario 64 was the first truly free-roam 3D game, with smooth gameplay that put other games to shame. A true revolution.
Oh, and just because I can, I remind you that this theme has inspired some crazy shit.
